Club Constitution
- The name of the club shall be "Emley Moor Amateur Rugby League Football Club'
- The Club shall be a member of the local Huddersfield and District Rugby League. The Club will play in leagues formulated by the Pennine Amateur Rugby League, at open age level. The club will play fixtures under the B.A.R.L.A. rules, and any additional rules at local or Pennine levels, or other leagues/age levels as deemed at an AGM.
- The main object of the club shall be "the furtherance of the game of Rugby League Football, on an amateur basis, thereby providing a form of recreation for the benefit of the local community.
- Membership of the club is open to playing, and non playing personnel. "Honorary life vice president' membership may be proposed, seconded by current members of the club. All classes of membership shall have full vetting rites at the AGM, or EGM.
- The business of the club shall be directed by a management committee, except for matters reserved for the AGM. The management committee shall consist of a Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and others duly elected at the AGM, to serve for the full year.The management committee shall meet at least once per month. A minimum of 4 being a quorum, it shall have the power to co-opt onto itself persons who will benefit that committee and the club, it may appoint sub-committees to carry out specific tasks. Any perceived "clash of interests' to be dealt with by the Chairman and Vice Chairman.
- The annual membership subscription shall be determined by the management committee in agreement with the Treasurer.
- The AGM shall be held annually, during the closed playing season each year. The date, time and location being widely advertised.
- Changes in the constitution of the club may be carried out by a resolution, seconded, and passed by a simple majority of members present at that AGM.
- In the event of an equal vote at either AGM or EGM, or at management meetings, the Chairman shall have the casting vote.
- The club may be dissolved upon a resolution to that effect being proposed, seconded and passed by a simple majority of those members present at that AGM or EGM.
- Upon dissolutionment of the club, the trustees shall take appropriate action to convert into money all assets of the club and discharge all debts and liabilities of the club. In the event of a short fall in monies to settle theses debts or liabilities, it shall fall equally on all paid up members to meet the financial short fall. When all liabilities have been met, the balance of credit shall be deposited in a bank/building society account, only the trustees shall be authorised to withdraw this money to use for the benefit of a future amateur sporting club forming in this (Emley Moor ARLFC) clubs general area.
- A disciplinary/emergency committee shall be formed if the need arises, comprising three management committee members who will have no "clash of personnel interest' in the matter to be dealt with.
