Calling All Ignatians' Colts

First training session is this Friday 6pm.

The Enfield Ignatians' colts side will begin its pre-season on Friday (July 20} when a side, which batted as the U17s last season, will have a first hit-out at Donkey Lane. The start-time is 6pm.

It will also mark the first session of this age group under the new coaching regime of the two Toms, Moore and Killey. Both are current members of the first team squad and they will be out to impart their considerable experience to the emerging talent. They take over from the popular Rob Madle who stepped down at the end of last season.

Indeed, Tom Moore is the current Player of the Year following a number of sterling performances, which also included an appearance for Hertfordshire A.

Just as importantly, the exercise will no doubt prove useful as regards keeping a group of talented players together. Although they agonisingly missed out on league honours last season, the current crop includes five players which represented Middlesex last season, and many will no doubt go on to prove themselves at senior level.
