Three members of the promoted Enfield Ignatians' U15s side, Akin James, Jamal Daley-Bonner and Feidhlim Ginty, have successfully trialled for Middlesex and are in the county squad which faces Berkshire on Sunday (October 22).

Coach Colin Pennicott said: "I'm over the moon as all three are very dedicated rugby players. Akin and Jamal joined the club at a very young age and have successfully risen through the ranks, while the versatile Feidhlim is a more recent addition to the squad who can play in any position.

"All three are very keen learners and absorb any information passed on to them. It's a very good news for the club and we wish them well."

All three players honed their fitness in the 55-0 win in the friendly against Old Verulamians at Donkey Lane last Sunday (October 16), and Daley-Bonner was in particularly fine form as he crossed the whitewash four times.

Others to score were Marvin Addison (two), Ryan Loo (two) and Ben Phillips as the blue and golds ran-in nine tries without replay against the visitors. Dan Redding clicked with the boot by adding five conversions.

Despite the big scoreline, Ignatians highlighted a number of areas for improvement as they continue their build-up to the next league game. Unbeaten in three games this season, Ignatians comfortably added to prior wins against Chess Valley and Hampstead.
