Two Coach Education Sessions planned at Donkey Lane in 2015.

Kicking Master Class - Tues Jan 20th

The Skill Acquisition Environment - Mon February 2nd.

Speaker: Richard Shuttleworth – RFU Professional Coach Development Manager.

Richard will share his philosophy based on “Game Sense” or perhaps more accurately the “Constraints Led” model of coaching. He will suggest that skill should never be developed outside of a game like environment, rather coaches should always challenge themselves and strive to create what the successful Australian hockey coach – Ric Charlesworth calls “Designer Games” so that players are learning and developing skills while inside a game like context so that the acquired skill is learned in an intergraded sense rather than isolated.

Profile:
“Richard joined the RFU from the Australian Institute of Sport where he has worked as a Skill Acquisition Specialist since 2007. He brings with him a diverse range of knowledge and experience from across a number of Olympic sports, Australian Football League, Rugby League & Rugby Union. To manage the provision of learning, innovation and performance enhancement support for England Professional coaches. Conduct applied research in skill acquisition and decision making with elite and developmental level rugby and provide cutting edge strategies to training skills.”

7pm start time for both sessions.

Rowly will need participants which I suggest should be U16's & older.

It would be good if all coaches and players could confirm their attendance with myself via email. Stephen Atkinson stephenjatkinson@aol.com

Food and a free print will be on offer for all who attend.
