Plenty of action in today's ESL fixtures, here is a round up of what went on

Premier Division
Barking p-p Haringey Borough

Match postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Mayesbrook Park

Enfield 1893 1 London Bari 1
The points were shared at Barrow's Farm today as hosts Enfield drew 1-1 with London Bari. After a goal less first forty five Bari took the lead three minutes into the second half but that lead only lasted nine minutes as Hutchinson levelled on 57 minutes and with no further goals the game was drawn,

FC Romania 1 Sawbridgeworth Town 4
The hosts had the chance to go back into second place in the league following the postponement of Barking's home game with Haringey but they blew that chance after sucumbing to a 4-1 home defeat to Sawbridgeworth Town which leaves FCR a point behind second place Barking and with the Blues having two games in hand it wasn't the best result for the Romanians. Sawbo's win takes them back into the top ten, now sitting in 9th position.

Greenhouse London p-p Ilford
Match postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Coles Park

Hullbridge Sports p-p Sporting Bengal United
Match postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Lower Road

Newham 1 Eton Manor 2 (at Clapton FC)
There was some farcical scenes pre match at The Dog when Eton Manor's kit didn't turn up so the game was delayed 20 minutes and also one of the linesman hadn't shown either so it wasn't the best preparation for either side. It seemed to effect the visitors more to start with as they went behind in the 11th minute when Vendal Nunes netted. Manor showed good character however and levelled with half an hour to go thanks to Michael Castle's strike and then with twenty to go Dean Florence completed the comeback to give Manor a vital away win. Manor climb to 16th whilst Newham fall a place to 6th.

Southend Manor 1 Clapton 5
The ton's thumped Southend Manor 5-1 at The Southchurch Arena although sadly the football may come second to what happened off the field where their were unpleasant scenes between Clapton's anti-fascist Ultras and some local Fascist group who had decided to come and cause trouble. A heavy police presence eventually calmed the situation but it's not something we like to see in any walk of life let alone a football match. I am glad to report that none of the 'Ultras' were hurt and they all managed to return to East London in a good state which is good to hear!!! Before these terrible scenes the 'Ultras' had created a decent atmosphere and they would of been happy with what they saw on the pitch as their team dominated the first half hour and took the lead on 29 minutes through Mendez. A minute later Nyanja made it two and then he made it three soon after that when a Briggs free kick was smacked home by Nyanja for his second of the game. The ton's made it four just before half time through Andy Mott although there was still time for the hosts to grab a goal back on half time when Abiola netted. Clapton added a fifth in the second half when Nyanja got his hat trick and this win takes Clapton up to 5th whilst Manor fall another place to 18th.

Stansted 1 Basildon United 4
The Bees bounced back from their 5-2 defeat at Newham on Monday to record a fantastic 4-1 victory at Hargrave Park against Stansted. Loranzo Ramsay netted on 10 and 12 minutes to give the visitors a dream start before player/manager Craig Gillam made it three on 22 minutes. Jonathan Adebayo's 44th minute penalty made it 4-0 at the half as the Bees were clinical in the basic errors the home side were creating. Gary Rowntree's 89th minute consolation at least gave Stansted something to cheer in an afternoon where the scoreline probably didn't reflect the home sides performance, but Basildon won't care a jot and this win sees them in 12th place whilst Stansted a one place above in 11th.

Takeley 0 Bowers & Pitsea 6
In form Bowers demolished Takeley 6-0 at Station Road this afternoon which was the third game running that the visitors had netted six goals in a game. Takeley could of scored inside a minute when they missed a sitter in what was a lively start to this contest. The visitors then took the lead when they were awarded a penalty and Rob Whitnell stroked home the spot kick and from then on in it was pretty much one way traffic and the visitors made it two in slightly controversal circumstances when a Takeley player was on the ground but throw in was taken by Bowers anyway and then Takeley's keeper was challenged, fairly in the referees mind, and the ball was bundled in by Lewis Manor. Protests then followed from the home side but these fell on def ears.
Bowers almost made it three when Lewis Manor twisted and turned in the box before hitting an effort which hit the underside of the bar from tight angle before the rebound well blocked by a defender. The hosts were testing out the Bowers backline but without any success and then a superb goal from Rob Whitnell made it 3-0 to the visitors, suggesting the difference between the sides going forward. More quality play nearly gave Bowers a fourth before the half but after sloppy play near their own box, Takeley managed to deflect the Bowers effort just over the bar. They did however make it four just before half time when Lewis Manor supplied another superb finish to send his side 4 goals up at the break and in total control. Both Whitnell and Manor missed good chances to get their hat tricks as the visitors started to completely dominate the game. Takeley keeper Haywood had to be alert to tip over a free kick as Bowers looked to add to their goal tally. The game was starting to wind down as we got nearer to the end as the home side were offering very little as Bowers were in total control. Ash then missed a sitter for Bowers when he headed a free header wide but Bowers were to grab a fifth goal when a terrific long distance strike from Llewelyn rattled the bar allowing a simple rebound from close range by Ashley Wackers-Kyriacou. Takeley had a rare attack which almost resulted in a goal but good defending saw it off and then the hosts blasted over from close range, summing up their day. It was a day made worse when they were reduced to ten men for a professional foul and from the free kick Bowers made it six when the free kick from Llewelyn was spilled by Haywood allowing a simple tap in for Jamie Salmon. It was nearly seven late on but for the fingertips of Haywood but it was an absolute rout at Station Road and a terrific performance from Bowers maintaining their 8th place in the league with many games still in hand on the sides above. Takeley are 14th after this defeat.
