Last Sunday, 22 July 2012, Gloucester City Supporters Trust ran a Football 6-a-side Tournament to raise funds for the Supporters Trust which was played on the Brockworth Enterprise School astro turf.

It was hoped that Evolution could have raised a team to participate but unfortunately with holidays and other commitments this was not feasible. Even Evolution's Monday 5-a-side game had been postponed for the same reason.

For interest it was a 4 team tournament, 6 players in each team. Every team plays each other, each game is 18 mins long.

Every player would pay a fiver. This would make £72 profit for the Trust. In the end £102 was raised.

It was between 12:00 to 14:00. Currently this is a one off, but if a success could look at doing this every 3 months or so.

Medals were up for grabs to the winning team.

For interest the tournament finished -

Dave's Angels - 7 points
Bloody Blokes - 4 points (0 gd)
County Council - 4 points (-1 gd)
Dunga's Dungarees - 1 point

Players who have graced the Evolution shirt did play - Adam Lyons, Lee Mills, Joe Green and James Hawes.

Maybeez next time this Tournament is run perhaps the more established Evolution players can rally to the cause.
