Away defeat on Saturday afternoon

FAIRFORD Town went down to a 4-1 defeat on the road at Bracknell Town on Saturday afternoon.

Depleted by injuries, Paul Braithwaite saw his side go a goal down early on with Tom Nugent heading home from a long throw by Tom Barratt.

Ben Knight made it 2-0 as he raced onto a through ball to double the advantage before striker Charlie Grabe got one back for the visitors.

The home side were awarded a penalty shortly after the break but Ben Harris failed to convert the spot-kick.

Sam Barratt then made it 3-1 with Fairford failing to defend a corner before Nugent sealed the win with his second of the afternoon.
