Reds secure vital league away win

FAIRFORD Town kick-started their Hellenic Premier Division campaign with a 4-0 win at relegation rivals Witney Town on Saturday.

The Reds made a bright start to the game and went ahead through Lee Simpson who got the visitors off to the perfect start.

Dan Bailey, playing in a five-man midfield, burst forward to net the second in the first half before Jack Williams made it three.

The final goal of the afternoon saw substitute Henry Trass cap his comeback with the fourth to seal an all-important league win.

Fairford are next in action on Wednesday night with a trip to Bristol-based side Cadbury Heath in the cup.
