MANAGER Gareth Davies has confirmed that three more of last season’s cup-winning squad have agreed to remain at Cinder Lane for the 2016/17 season.

Defenders Steve Hall and Ben Saunders have been joined by striker Lewis Petrie in signing official league registration forms.

Petrie scored three goals in 12 appearances for the first team last term whilst Steve Hall, named Player of the Year, turned in 32 appearances during his most consistent Cinder Lane season to date.

Promising young centreback Ben Saunders, the son of former Fairford regular Mark, broke through towards the end of the campaign having been a regular in the second string.

All three are expected to be in action this Saturday when the Reds host Cheltenham Civil Service at Cinder Lane in a pre-season friendly, KO 3pm.

The reserves kick-off their own pre-season programme at Hatherop – with kick-off also at 3pm.
