Reserves take a point from home clash with Old Woodstock
FAIRFORD Town’s reserves were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Old Woodstock Town on Saturday.
A youthful looking Fairford side, containing four 17-year olds, more than matched their opponents in what was a competitive Division Two West encounter.
The home side went a goal down before Dan Bond levelled before the break to send the teams in level at half-time.
Old Woodstock then got themselves back in front but the Fairford response was a good one. After hitting the bar and creating several chances, the pressure paid off with striker Ed Evans credited with with the equaliser.
The reserves host Clanfield at Cinder Lane next Saturday 19th March. Fairford are now in sixth spot in Division Two West, unbeaten in three.
Team selection has not been published for this fixture yet.
