Caledonia Reds

Falkirk well represented in the Caledonia inter-district team

14yrs since an inter-district game has been played and shows how much our wee club has progressed in that time. We sit 4th in the BT National League 1 and the highest Caledonia based club from that league. In fact the only other Caledonia club who are above us, in the SRU leagues is close neighbours Stirling County.

Our head coach Niall Lear is the backs coach and the Grangemouth coach Craig Deacons is the forwards coach, so the Falkirk area is well represented in the coaching department. We have played three borders teams this season already in Kelso, Selkirk and Jed-Forest, so we have an insight into how tough this game will be

Unfortunately, Andrew Simpson succumbed to injury at the weekend but we still have 5 players playing, in the forwards Lewis Skinner and Jake Eaglesham and in the backs Liam Brims, Angus Rennie and Jacob Adamson.

Over the past 6yrs or so we have had players regularly playing in the age grade Caledonia set up, a massive achievement for our club and the Falkirk area and now we see progression to the senior set up. If anything it should motivate and demonstrate to other players within the club that they should continue to develop and focus on their skills.

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | On the eve of the first Caledonia Reds match since 2014 and the first Inter-District game since 2002, we are delighted to announce the final squad for tomorrow night's match against the South.
