Rag Bag will be coming to the club on 5th June, the recycle bin can be found in our car park

At Falkirk Rugby you will have seen the recycle bin in the car park. This is organised by a scheme called RAG BAG. This scheme was set up to support schools, nurseries and clubs to recycle unwanted items and earn themselves some money as well. over 1.2 million tonnes of clothes and textiles go to landfill sites in the UK each year.

What happens with your items we hear you say?

The items are collected from across the UK and taken to a recycling centre, from there they are graded, with items recycled into mattress linings, underlay, wiping cloths etc or they are sent to Africa or other developing countries and re-used.

Falkirk Rugby are given money per kilogramme and to date we have received £60 from people donations. It might not seem a lot but this is the costs of Therabands which are used in supporting conditioning and injury rehabilitation of players, so every bit counts.

Items that are acceptable are:

All Ladies, men and children clothing
Paired footwear
Handbags, bags, ties and belts
Household Linen and towels

Recycle your unwanted items through Falkirk Rugby.
