Falkland Cricket Club were absolutely delighted to be presented yesterday with a cheque for £3000 from the ever popular local running group the Falkland Trail Runners.

The wonderful donation was made following a very successful 'Dirty Weekend ' of races held over Falkland Estate during late July. The runners have shared the clubhouse at Scroggie Park since their inception a couple of years ago and enjoy a great relationship with the cricket club.

Jim Close, who handed over the cheque on behalf of the FTC said that the group were very grateful to FCC for the ongoing use of the facilities at Scroggie and hoped that the funds would be of use as the club looks to replace the existing clubhouse.

Robbie Nellies, FCC President replied by sincerely thanking the FTC for their outstanding gesture and added how pleased the cricket club was to be able to support what has become an extremely successful group whose participation numbers continue to grow.
