Falkland reached rock bottom on Saturday with a heavy and embarrassing defeat in Edinburgh at Goldenacre, the home of Heriot's FP. The game started two hours late because of a damp pitch, and this may have disorientated Falkland, but there was no real excuse for such a terrible bowling and fielding display with young Lyle Robertson the only bowler to take a wicket! It was perhaps just as well that the game had been reduced to 39 Overs, otherwise the score might have been a lot more.
In reply, although Stephen Meikle and Geordie Gallagher put on 41 for the 1st wicket to give Falkland some sort of a chance, the middle order collapsed woefully against some good Heriot's bowling and the team subsided to 62 all out. The disparity in scores, frankly, tells its own story, and the less said about this game (and indeed this season) the better.
It is now up to Falkland to regroup and reorganise for the future.
