Preseason preparations continued with a comfortable victory at McKane Park on Saturday.
Captain Ash Anson won the toss and elected to bat. Matt Surry opened with Euan Sloan and the opening partnership was still intact at drinks. It was eventually broken with the score on 128 when Euan bowled for a superb 77. The knock included 14 fours and a 6 and was a joy to watch.
Matt retired shortly afterwards on 53 and there followed a bit of a collapse in the midde order . Ben scored 35 and later on Scott Robertson had 16 and Lyle 17 not out.
Father and son did well with ball too. Lyle returned figures of 8 overs 6 maidens 2 for 5 with his off breaks and Scott had 3 for 16. Scuba also had 3 wickets with spin, his costing 37 runs. Greg finished the game by clean bowling the last man.
