Fareham Heathens hosted two home games at Cams Alders in difficult underfoot conditions.
Heathens 2nd XV took on Totts Vets and despite a fight back in the second half they came up short.
The match was disrupted by an ankle break to one of the Totts team. Everyone at Heathens wish him a speedy recovery.
Heathens 1st XV took on IOW RFC in Snows Group Hampshire 1. The game doubled as the Mike Blow Memorial Game, which was being competed for the second time.
Fareham Heathens were the holders of the trophy and the team prevailed 17-7 to retain the trophy, which was presented to Heathens Captain Rob Impey by Mike's widow Julie (pictured) Julie was accompanied to the club by her daughter Libby who had just flown in from Singapore. Also in the picture was Dave Metcalfe (DOR at the IOW RFC), Stuart Brading from the IOW and school boy and lifelong friend of Mike as well as Dave Wheaton, Heathens Head Coach and long time friend of Mike.
The recently refurbished bar at the club was also renamed 'The Mike Blow Bar'
The match was preceded by a lunch to say thanks to our sponsors and was also attended by guests. Heathens 'old boy' Ed Monk also came along and even managed to get some game time with the 2nd XV.
There is a chance that IOW RFC & Fareham Heathens may not be competing in the same League next year but fear not the annual Mike Blow Memorial Game will continue regardless/
