Pitch gets a good watering

5 months ago By Bernard Rhodes

Local Fire Service practice at Cams Alders!

“Germinate!” Bernie Rhodes
Representatives from out local Fire Service came down to Cams Alders and practiced their routines and at the same time gave our floodlit pitch a good watering.
The floodlit pitch at Cams takes a good battering through the season as it is used for training during the winter months.
We also have plans this season to have more floodlit games on a Friday night with the Juniors, Seniors and Ladies all looking to host fixtures.
Our own Dave Higgins who is a local Fire Officer said it was a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Always in need of practice and training and giving the pitch a good soaking!.
The council seeded the pitch at the end of the season but with the hot dry weather we have been having the grass will always find it hard to get established.
All round a top job!
Many thanks.
