Smith, who has started the season strongly, helping the Parsonage Field club to top spot in Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Division One, took the August player of the month prize. Farleigh’s “Fox in the box” received a celebratory bottle of champagne from chairman Mark Whittaker and club newcomer David Groves before Farleigh’s 4-1 home league win against Dorking.

The award will run throughout this season which promises so much for Farleigh and should become a prestigious prize which will be sought after by boss Barry Regelous’ strong squad which looks set to challenge for honours this term.
