The Combined Counties Football League - Division 1

| CB Hounslow United | 1 | vs | 3 | Farleigh Rovers |
CB Hounslow 1 Farleigh Rovers 3
Some excellent football saw Farleigh win convincingly against CB Hounslow.
Farleigh were without Chris Asante who has been ruled for the rest of the season due a persistent knee problem and Theo Beasley who was again unavailable. Forward Tyrone Peters was back up top while new boy Nicky Meta started on the left wing.
The foxes adopted a totally different approach to what they did against Guernsey and took the game to Hounslow from kick off. Chances soon followed with Aaron Gayle (pictured) constantly running rings around his full back, however his good work too often lack that killer pass or finish. The foxes did take the lead after 20 minutes when after several shots in succession, Peters managed to squeeze his effort past the keeper. The foxes continued to dominate possession throughout the half with Hounslow offering little threat going forward. The foxes did however lose Kwaku Braams with a hamstring injury meaning that Leon Worley had to play at full back. The second half started with Farleigh popping the ball around until Simon Mensah found Gayle with a ball inside the full back and with only the keeper to beat Gayle pulled his effort wide. Minutes later however, Farleigh got a well deserved second after around a dozen passes, Peters layed the ball into Craig Prendergast who lifted the ball over the approaching keeper. Minutes after the second goal, the foxes should of put the game to bed when after another flowing football move, Gayle crossed to ball to Meta who somehow hit his effort wide of the post with nobody in sight. Hounslow pulled one back when their most threatening forward struck a fantastic effort past Oliver Waiton. This seemed to rattle the foxes for a little while until Peters picked the ball up just outside the box and struck a left foot effort straight into the top corner to put the claim the points. Sol Paterson Bohner and Mensah had great chances to get a forth after great individual runs and even though Hounslow had some decent chances towards the end, Farleigh continued to move the ball around playing arguably the best football they have played all season.
Farleigh now entertain Worcester Park at Parsonage Fields this Saturday, kick off at 3pm.
Team. Oliver Waiton (capt), George Horsley, Kwaku Braams ( Leon Worley 25) , Simon Mensah, Thomas Nyarko, Asone Patterson, Aaron Gayle, James Radford, Nicky Meta (Sol Patterson Bohner 55) Craig Prendergast (George Franks 70), Tyrone Peters. Unused sub Joe Doherty.
Man of the match. Tyrone Peters. Needs to keep himself fit and available every week if Farleigh are to continue to move up the table.
