Available to all players, Dentist Fitted & Great Value!

We have arranged for the first fitting session to be at the club on Wednesday 27th August between 5.30pm & 8.30pm & Thursday 28th August between 6pm & 8.30pm. Please see the times below for the various age groups. If you had one fitted last time these are now available to collect. This can be done at the fitting sessions on 27th & 28th, but there will also the chance to do this at teh registration sessions at the beginning of the season. The player does need to be there so that the dentist can check the fitting.

Please remember that the 2 dentists are not making any money from the sale of these gumshields & are giving up their time to come in and do these fittings.

Please make sure that you either have cash or cheque available we also have card payment available too.

They will supply a dentist fitted gum shield, with a choice of colours, we are able to get the club logo & your child’s name & initial, on the gum shield for a cost of £40. These normally retail at about £90, so a massive saving. One of the things noticed from the pictures from the tour is the amount of players with their gum shield hanging out of their mouth, this means that it’s not fitted properly, & that if they get a knock it’s not going to protect them!

From the RFU Website…

“Mouth guards are compulsory for all school players involved in rugby activities above school level (County, Division and England Representative Squads)

The RFU strongly recommend that mouth guards are worn for any contact rugby sessions - it is also recommended that such mouth guards should be custom fitted.

There are cheaper alternatives available such as "boil in the bag" or pre-moulded mouth guards but the reduced level of fit and protection offered should be considered when making a decision.”

Please remember that the dentists are also on call so may have to leave at very short notice.
