Farnham is one of fifteen rugby clubs across the country have been named as the 2012 winners of the RFU President’s XV Awards, supported by QBE.

The award is in the "Most volunteers" category and recognises the extraordinary success of our Minis Tour. The fact that HQ has chosen to give us this award is a great bonus for all the many people who have taken on the daunting task of running what is probably the worlds biggest annual club rugby tour.

Here are a couple of extracts from the award letter received by Steve Tomlinson.

Dear Steve,

Thank you for your application to the 2012 President’s XV Recognition Awards. The Panel are delighted to announce that Farnham RUFC has been chosen as the winner in the More Volunteers category and have therefore been awarded a Trophy and cheque for £500 for your club. As a category winner in the President’s XV, we would like one of the Panel members to visit your club to make the presentation and celebrate the achievements of your club.

Your outstanding project will be used as a case study on the RFU website to benefit the game and there will be a general article on winners that will appear in Touchline magazine (most likely May edition) and winners will also go into Rugby World magazine (July/August).

The full case study can be viewed by following this link.
