MANAGER RAY TURNER GIVES FANS THE LOWDOWN ON WHAT TO EXPECT FROM HIS FIVE NEW SIGNINGS NEXT SEASON.

SIMON OVERLAND (Goalkeeper)
Simon is well know to everyone down here. He's a crowd favourite and he's played a lot of games for this football club. I think he cares about this football club.
We've worked well together over a number of years. He's obviously got the experience of taking us previously to a play-off final.
With the doubt over Will Godmon, I had no hesitation in making that decision.
What's pleased me most is the way Simon came back from injury. He had a serious injury here against Sittingbourne.
I know he's very grateful about the playing time he's had at Sittingbourne and grateful for everything they've done at the club, but what I saw last year was a goalkeeper who's got himself back to full fitness, fully confident.
He offers a real voice and leadership and he just gives that first area of experience through the spine of the team that we'll have available to us next year.
I was just pleased that Simon got back. I was quite open with him - we all had our doubts whether he'd get himself back fully fit and he's done that.
It's a credit to him and I look forward to seeing him back playing as Number One next season.

SAM LAWFORD (Striker)
Sam is a local lad from Canterbury. He went out on loan last year to Ramsgate and did very well down there and got experience of this level of football.
He's come from Gillingham and the main reason really for signing him is that he had a glowing report from Mark Patterson, who works with him on a daily basis, and he couldn't talk highly enough of Sam's attitude, his work ethic and his ability to score goals and the pace he'll offer our front line as well.
As a young lad all I've seen since I've met him is a real determination to succeed and push himself on in the game, so hopefully we can offer him that opportunity.

MARK LOVELL (Striker)
Marks' created a far bigger reputation for himself, particularly in this county, I think he's just come off the back of one of his best seasons ever in terms of goal-scoring and also the amount of games he's played at Herne Bay/
What attracted me is that he'll bring character, he'll bring personality and he'll bring leadership, and again going back to the spine of the time he offers that real experience.
That will help young lads like Sam and Liam King, and it will also complement some of the older players that we've got here.
He's here to win things and do well and be at the top of the league and I think it's a really positive signing for the club.
He was very loyal to Sam Denly at Herne Bay and again that's one of the big reasons that attracted me to Mark and to Danny - they were very loyal to Sam and had he still been in post then the chances are they would have stayed where they were, so I'm obviously very grateful for the opportunity to sign them up.

DANNY WALDER (Centre Midfield)
Danny has played at a higher level and he's at a good age. He'll give us that leadership in the centre of the park and add competition in that area.
I think he'll work particularly well with George in there and add to what we've already got. He's got a very good range of passing and creativity.
Maybe, one of the areas that I though we were a little bit weak last year was from set pieces.
He'll increase our chances of scoring goals and creating opportunities from set pieces by his delivery, which is excellent, so I'm really pleased to have him on board.

MACAULEY MURRAY (Centre Midfield)
I've known Macca for a while and I've kept track of his career and I feel as though it's the right time for him to have a change of scenery.
He's a really good talent - a very good ball player - and he will add some real creativity in that area of the pitch, and again competition for places will be fierce in there.
I just think that he needs to kick on and he's more than capable of playing higher, and again I think we can offer him that platform to go and enjoy his football.
and that fresh challenge I think mentally will do him the world of good and I'm delighted that he's signed and I'll be working with him next year.
