Each week, local football legend Tommy Sampson offers his thoughts on Town's season so far.

Ray will make sure the guys understand they still have a tough week ahead.

We got off to a stunning first day of the season yesterday travelling to north Kent to play recently recently relegated VCD Athletic.
Two goals to the good in just seven minutes - an opportunist strike from Charley Robertson, and then the Lovell/King partnership working in tandem allowing young Liam to open his account for the season.
Jordan Casey coming off the bench added more woe to the hosts' cause, and then Sam Bewick topped it all off.
Whilst a great result Ray will make sure the guys understand they still have a tough week ahead with the visit of Ramsgate this Tuesday, and next Saturday a trip to South London to play Croydon to try and make progress in the FA Cup.
The following Bank Holiday Monday we get back to league business entertaining Herne Bay.
See you all on Tuesday!
