“The players who played in a young Faversham side will have benefited immensely.”
Last Tuesdays result, false though it might have felt, will stand this club in good stead eventually.
As painful as it might have been after 90 minutes, the players who played in a young Faversham side will have benefited immensely.
Ray, Clive and their coaching team have been "prepping" these lads for a long time. In an ideal world, it might have been better not to have blooded them all at once but, with seven regulars simply not able to start, Ray was left with no choice.
Speaking as someone with many years' experience of managing, I have no doubt that Ray and Clive will benefit when the circumstances happen again.
For me it's no disgrace to be knocked out of the cup. We got to the final a little while back, and in my opinion it cost us a play-off place.
Our only goal is to get this club promotion, and we have the absolute best management team to achieve that.
I can't make Saturday but will be scanning the live scores page. It's about time we had a bit of good fortune. We work hard enough!
