10 months ago By Brian Flynn

NEW signing Danny Walder has insisted competition for places will boost Faversham Town's promotion hopes.

“Everybody has got to fight for their position.” Danny Walder, Midfielder
Midfielder Danny - one of five new signings by boss Ray Turner - said he was ready to fight for a spot in the team after making the switch from Herne Bay.
He reckons the club is ready for another promotion push now that it has a bigger squad to cope with the demands of the long season.
Speaking in his first video interview since joining, Danny said: "I think it's healthy. Competition is healthy in football.
"If there are good players in the squad, it means that everybody has got to fight for their position, so I think it will be good for us."
When asked what fans could expect from him, Danny joked: "I kick it out of play quit a lot."
