Town travelled to Stodmarsh sports ground with a strong squad of 15 players, CC Sports pitch looking in excellent condition. Plenty of goals in this previous fixture Town winning 5-3. The game kicked off and within 6 minutes Town scored from Captain Rhys Leader. Faversham pressing the ball from the half way line and forcing Sports to play back deep into their own half. This forced Sports to give the ball away on the edge of their own area. Town skipper Rhys Leader accepting the gift and punishing Sports with a 20 yard Strike into the bottom left hand corner.
Sports looked to hit back but Town keeper Matt Bowey producing a fine save to keep Faversham ahead diving full stretch to his left to claim the ball.
Chances for both teams as Ryan Mcdonald hit a Long ball from defence to Josh Benocci, Benocci with a great leap beating two Sports defenders and playing in Lester down the left wing who’s first time cross Just evaded Clark for the Sports defender to head clear, good move from Town.
Faversham did double their advantage in the 24th minute Leader again, but this time younger brother Callum Leader with a goal of the season contender. C Leader took the ball on his chest on the right edge of the area kept the ball up with his knee before volleying into the top corner super Strike.
Not to be outdone by his little brother Rhys Leader then Volleyed in himself to give Town a three goal cushion. Great work from Joe Lester on the right side whipping in a cross to pick out R Leader who volleyed a sweet first time strike into the roof of the Sports goal.
On the 32 minute mark Town won a corner R Leader picked out Joe Lester with a deep cross Lester’s powerful header crashing in off the underside of the crossbar.
Town enjoying their football now and racing into a four goal lead. But a moment of complacency gifted CC Sports a goal Town Keeper misjudging a through ball and Sports took advantage.
Another poor decision from Town resulted in another goal conceded just before the half time whistle.

HT 2-4
6mins into the second half Town won a free kick R Leader looking for his hat-rick lined the ball up but his effort was high and didn’t trouble the CC keeper.
Sports pushing to get themselves back in the game and so they did a good strike giving Bowey little chance.
Much like the previous meeting CC Sports don’t give up and are dangerous in attack. Town looking for another goal to ease the pressure found one through Joe Lester again from a corner heading in for his second of the game.
Great work from Ryan Clark holding the ball up and then picking out C Leader who fired a fierce effort across goal which with some improvising from Town striker Lester chested in for his hat-rick
Town’s scoring wasn’t over Reece Bedford found some time and space and with a good first touch finished with a strike into the left corner.
CC Sports lively no 7 forward caused Town problems all game and he scored with a deft chip over the Town keeper.
Town had one more chance Reece Bedford again broke free and his shot produced a fine save from the Sports Keeper.

Full Time 4-7

Plenty of goals for the young Lilywhites Joe Lester with another hat-trick, Captain Rhys Leader leading the way with two fine strikes. Not to mention Nye Griffths with another fine display at the heart of defence.

C Leader tireless work rate from the front man and a wonder strike for his deserved goal.
