Parnaby, who joined FC Stratford at the beginning of the season from Wake Green, has scored eight goals in 21 appearances this season for Poulson's side before picking up a knee injury in March.
The energetic midfielder, who attended last Tuesday's defeat to Boldmere Falcons on crutches, has now received results of a recent MRI scan.
Results of the MRI scan show that there is a significant tear to both the ACL and the LCL in Tom's right knee.
Parnaby will have surgery within the next two weeks to initially repair his LCL with fears that a knee reconstruction could be required.
The LCL (Lateral Collateral Ligament) runs along the outside of the knee joint, from the outside of the bottom of the thighbone (femur) to the top of the lower leg bone (fibula).
Following a successful operation to repair the LCL, Tom will then require a further operation to repair the ACL.
The ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) connects your thigh bone (femur) to your shinbone (tibia).
Everybody at FC Stratford would like to wish Tom Parnaby a speedy recovery and thank him got his contribution this season.
