Following a long hard season in Midland League Division Three, Dave Poulson has reviewed the season which saw FC Stratford finish third.

"So after a long hard season we managed to sneak third place, the best season FC Stratford have had but we all probably feel we've fallen a bit short given the way we started the season.

"For me personally there is a real feeling of frustration having finished third before as manager of Alcester Town. As I did at the end of that season you tend to look at bits and pieces, where you dropped points and what I could have done better. Ultimately the table just doesn't lie though.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with the club for all their efforts and hard work but most particularly I would like to thank Tom Milward for everything he's done this season he's been fantastic for both me and the club.

"Finally I was quite surprised to see comments about us having the benefit of the first team to be able to attract players here. This couldn't be further from the truth, rarely is a player going to be able to make the step up from Division 3 to Southern League Premier.

"Our link to Stratford Town was tenuous at best and they would only ask for a player if they were short. We pay for the use of the pitch and facilities and got players here through hard work not false promises.

"We lost players at the start of the season to our main rivals but that's football at this level.

"I expect the links within the club to be much better next season so hopefully it can be used as a tool to get players there.

"Thanks everyone."
