Feltham struggling with numbers faced top of the league, although a good battle it took it's toll.

Feltham played top of the league this weekend and new its was going to be a battle from the outset. A lot of players missing through injuries has really begun to hit Feltham hard, but they still came out all guns blazing.
Feltham took to the field with 15-20 minutes of the best rugby they have shown all year. Defensively a huge effort from guys all over the park, Karl C and Muzzy in the Centres made hits all game long. and Jamie M, Leon, Luke and Danny throwing their weight around all game.
Attacking threats came from the likes of Tom Williams, Kieran H, Jack and JH who really took it to the line and cut them open initially.
With Feltham playing the quick style game that they play best Kilburn were under pressure. Quick taps and offloads put Feltham deep in the half. Slotting some sensible penalties, Feltham went ahead.
Then of a great scrum and set piece play, and the backs drawing the oppositions defence in, a whole opened and JH slotted straight through and over the line. Feltham were 10-0 up in as many minutes. Converted by Jack and another penalty from JH minutes later then put Feltham 13-0 up.
Complacency then set in, Kilburn began to wake up and throw what they had at the home team. The foot was off the gas from Feltham and Kilburn reacted. Getting a few quick scores in, Kilburn were soon back in the game and was close to level at half time.
After a few injuries in and people going off Feltham's side were even more depleted, Kilburn then carried on putting more points on. Some very physical tackles going in and i think Kilburn definitely knew they had played a game at the end of it. Unfortunately for Feltham this has not been a great few weeks for the club but they are building from here. With players coming back from injuries and changes being made in the club hopefully we can build from here.
A week off for the Soul Night Friday and Eng Vs NZ on Sat a rest will be in order.
