New Players Always Welcome!!
We are a developmental side currently playing friendly games in the North Midlands Ladies Cluster League. We train on Thursday evenings, 7:15 till 9:00pm at the club, with additional sessions on Sundays when there are no games. The Cluster League is set up so that we have games organised, but also free weekends where we can help out other teams with numbers. Essentialy we try and get a game every week for people who want it!
New players are always welcome from the seasoned scrummager to the total novice! We have a range of skill levels and experience within the squad, from those who have been playing for years and have county experience to some who have just picked up a ball this season.
Feel free to turn up at a training session or a match, we're a very friendly bunch of girls! It's not all about the playing either- most Saturdays you can find us cheering on the men's team or propped up at the bar watching the internationals. We also have regular social outings, right from a trip to the pub to watching the Women's World Cup Final at Twickenham Stoop (we even acquired the post pads afterwards!) The inaugral women's rugby tour to Edinburgh was a resounding success with sunburned faces on show in Edinburgh. We're hoping that there will be lots more of these to come!
