Who are Flamengo?
Flamengo are the most famous club side in Brazil. We have taken their name as we believe in playing football with skill, flair and creativity – just like the famous Brazilian teams. Flamengo Elite FC was formed in January 2012 to offer skillful and talented players in the local area the opportunity to play creative football, whilst still having the fun and enjoyment of competitive matches. The “ethos” of the club best describes what we really stand for:
· player development, by highly qualified coaches;
· playing the highest standard of football possible;
· playing a progressive passing game, encouraging skill & creativity;
· player & parent enjoyment of both training & matches;
· to give the players lots of game opportunities, by playing league & cup matches, quality friendlies, tournaments & tours;
· fair policy on player rotation & substitutions;
· relaxed & open atmosphere (playing other sports is okay);
· doing it the Brazilian way!
Interested in joining?
U13/U14s We are currently recruiting U13 players to play in the Surrey Youth League as U14s
for next season, 2012-13. The squad size will be limited to 14-16 players.
U14/U15s We currently have three boys in this age group who come along to training. If this grows we can introduce 5 and 6-a-side teams, and ultimately 11-a-side. But we will need more boys and a team manager/coach to make further progress.

Where league will Flamengo play in?
Next season we have entered to play in the Premier Division of the Surrey Primary League. We are currently focused on recruiting U13 players, who will move up to the U14 age group for the new 2012-13 season.
Where do you train?
We train on the 3G astro at Ash Manor School in Ash. Training is currently on Monday 8-9pm and Friday 7-9pm, but this may change in the coming months. See the club website for the latest training dates and times.
Where are Flamengo's home games?
Most home games will be played on grass at The Edge Sports Centre just off the A3/A287 near Hindhead / Haslemere, but we are also looking to play some matches in the Aldershot / Ash area (possibly at the Traco club). The Edge is a modern sports complex with 3 grass pitches and very easy access, now that the Hindhead tunnel is open.
How good is the coaching?
We aim to offer boys with the best coaching available. The lead coach is a UEFA-B qualified coach (equivalent to the FA-Level 3) and currently working toward his A-Licence. We have the FA Youth Coaches Award for 12-16 year old players, First Aid and CRB certification.
What is the standard of players?
All players recruited so far have played to a very high standard, typically in the top divisions of their local leagues or have played with an Elite or Development Centre.
What are the fees?
There is no joining fee (yes!!). Training and match fees are typically £3-4 per session. Training/away kit is £25; Full kit inc. home kit, tracksuit and kit bag is approx £100.
