Fleet' look to bounce back!

Fleetwood are again at home this week and entertain Whitehaven. They will be looking to bounce back from the disappointing result last week against De La Salle. One place and 3 points separates the 2 sides and after the defeat in the reverse fixture, Fleet will be looking for a win that will take them clear of the sides at the bottom.
Training this week was much improved from last, with everyone putting in the extra effort following last week’s disappointment. This will most certainly be required if we are to beat a tough, physical Whitehaven side!

Selection wise, again there are a couple of absentees this week but this has been countered by some returning faces and so Fleetwood are still able to put a strong and exciting looking side.
In the front row, Jamie Moran returns to the starting line-up, recovering from his injury and will add welcome size and power to the pack! He is joined by Scott Dobbie and James Lillee, with Lillee moving up from the 2nd row. Captain Rob Brookfield is still missing this week, therefore Dale Thompson comes into the Row and partners Ricky Newton…..Big Row that! In the back row Danny Tomlinson returns to flanker and partners Danny Atkin, with Coach Steve Woodburn also coming back into the side at 8.

No change to the backs from last week……….half backs are Tom Evans at 9 and Paul Bamber at 10. Again they will aim to get this exciting backline firing, with pace and power all over the pitch! Ali Cheal stays at 12 and his speed and hands provide an excellent foil to the strength and power of Tom Wilson at 13 The back 3 comprises of Luke Wilson, Harry Pilkington and Karl Bowling, all will be looking to continue their good form and get their hands on the ball.

On the bench this week are the returning Jamie Mayall, Pete Benny and Asa Watson
