As another RL season draws to a close for the Flintshire Falcons junior section I think all would agree that 2015 has been a roaring success. A season which has seen more than fifty boys and girls pull on the black shirt in teams at under8, 9, 11 and 13.

Our under 13s team has experienced victories at established North West Counties Clubs (and one or two thumpings it must be said) and have hosted touring french teams.They are a group of talented players who having improved immensely this year will no doubt excel next year as they gain more league experience.

At under 11 the picture is just as bright. A group of players with immeasurable potential which will, I am sure only continue that upward trajectory. A season which saw fine wins against their North Wales rivals and excellent performances further afield taking on established North West Clubs.

In what has been a great season perhaps the biggest plaudits should go to the boys and girls of the 8s sand 9s. This section, which did not exist at the start at the year, has had a fantastic year introducing children to the great sport of Rugby League. Teams at both age groups have taken part in many festivals with enthusiasm and no little success.

We can look to 2016 with great anticipation and, given the foundations that have been laid down, I cannot see anything but further success on the horizon.
