Our reward for winning away at Rhyl in the last round was a home tie against current cup holders, and reigning Welsh Premier League champions, TNS.

Although it is likely that The New Saints manager, Scott Ruscoe, will rotate his squad for this game, especially given they have an Irn Bru cup tie at home to Elgin city at the weekend, whatever side he puts out will represent a formidable challenge for Flint.
This will be the first meeting between the sides, since the former Llansantffraid club transformed into The New Saints, following their merger with Oswestry Town. Although TNS did play at Cae-Y-Castell in a competitve match last season, when our ground was used by Bala Town as their "home" venue whilst their new 3G pitch was being constructed.
We shall look to shrug off the disappointment of Saturday's loss away at Caersws, and rise to the challenge of this game. We have a tendency to raise our game against the better clubs, so let's hope we can rise to the occasion and give our visitors a real run for their money.
The good news for Flint season ticket holders is that this game replaces the "lost" league match, following Rhayader's resignation, and so entrance for them is free of charge.
Finally, all at the club would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Holywell U19 player Liam Simpson, who was the tragic victim of a hit and run incident at the weekend. Things like this really put football into perspective, and at the end of the day, no matter how passionate and worked up we get about it, it is after all, just a game.
