On Saturday we play our final Flintshire league derby of the season, when we welcome Buckley to Cae-Y-Castell.

The Stags currently sit bottom of the table on goal difference, although only 1 point separates the four lowest ranked clubs, which shows how tight it is and how quickly things can change. Buckley find themselves in their current predicament following a wretched sequence of 11 consecutive losses stretching from mid November to the beginning of February. However, that sequence was broken following an excellent 4-0 home win against fellow strugglers Llanfair United last weekend.
Following the departure of Ben Chamberlain, the club brought in the experienced Terry Ingram to try and ensure their Cymru Alliance survival. Ingram has wasted no time in bringing in fresh faces to boost their survival bid, including the Doran brothers, Phil and Peter, who will be familiar faces to the Flint supporters. With the likes of the Dorans, goalkeeper Adam McGee and forwards Asa Hamilton and Phil Molyneaux in their side, Buckley will surely have every chance of avoiding the drop.
We hope to have a raw, fresh faced new talent by the name of Shaun Beck available to us for Saturday's game ! Seriously, it's great to welcome Shaun back to his hometown club for the remainder of the season, and hope he is soon doing what he does best i.e. scoring goals. Adam Eden is in line to make his home debut, after impressing in last weekend's win at Holyhead, whilst James Hooper is also available having completed his suspension.
It's in defence where we have problems. Definitely missing will be Joe Culshaw (suspended), and Chris Roberts (dislocated shoulder/fractured collarbone), whilst Matty Holt is almost certain to join them on the absent list as he suffered what appeared to be a hamstring injury last Saturday. The club would like to wish Chris a speedy and successful recovery from his injuries suffered during a bad landing following an aerial challenge in last week's game. The extent of the injury means it's almost certain he will be out for the remainder of the season.
Kick Off at Cae-Y-Castell is 2-30pm.
