Niall McGuinness has added two new recruits to his squad, in the form of Jack Stewart and Jacques Welsh.

In announcing his new signings he had this to say :
"Jacques Welsh is a young centre back who was with Bolton Wanderers before suffering an injury setback at 16. He is still only 17 but shows great maturity, and is a ball playing centre back with great communication and understanding of the game. Jacques is young, fit and hungry, and wants to play at the top level.
Also signing for the Silkmen is Jack Stewart. The 18 year old attacker signs from Atherton Colliers from the Evo Stick Division 1 North. Jack is a tricky quick winger who has great ability with the ball. He spent his formative years at Rochdale Football Club before finishing at the age of 18 due a change in management and not getting a pro contract. Jack did feature on the Rochdale bench last season for a 1st team fixture."

McGuinness & Shannon added they are delighted to have signed both youngsters. After watching them closely they felt the pair will be a real asset to the club, and the coaching staff we will be looking to keep guiding them and educate them to improve them as players.
Both players trained with the squad this week & have settled well into the environment.
The signings are, however, subject to international clearance, and so it may well be into the New Year before they are eligible to play.
