Flint manager Niall McGuinness continues to be busy in securing new recruits, and the latest arrivals are Francois Antione and Chris Sanna.

18 year old Francois (pictured) was previously with Oldham Athletic, having graduated through their Academy and then completing a two year scholarship, before being released at the end of last season. He has been having trials with Chester City, but has now committed to sign for Flint. Francois can operate both as an attacking midfielder and as an out and out striker. McGuinness described him as being an athletic footballer with great ball skills, composure and possessing a low centre of gravity, making him hard to shrug off the ball. He went on to say, "The minute Aden, Johnny and myself saw Francois, we were instantly impressed with his ability. He featured in a behind closed doors friendly, last week, and it was clear we needed to sign him, as he could prove to be a great asset to the club. We all look forward to working with him and helping him progress as a footballer." Francois' transfer will be subject to international clearance, so it may be a few weeks yet before we see him in action.
Also joining Flint is experienced goalkeeper, Chris Sanna who has previously played for Wales U18's, Cefn Druids, Colwyn Bay and Conwy Borough. He is a great communicator with his defence, and is a renowned shot stopper. Chris had taken a break from football last season, but having been sounded out by the management team, he feels now is a good time to make his return to the game. He brings extra competition for the goalkeeping jersey, alongside Aaron Jones and Josh Hart, although Hart may be out for some time due to the knee injury sustained in the Porthmadog game. His wealth of experience should prove invaluable to the club, both on and off the pitch, and he will be available for selection for Saturday's trip to Llanrhaeadr.
