The under 13s booked a place in their final with a closely fought clash with Waterhead, seeing them eventual winners 34-26. Both the 14s and 16s progressed to the next round of their competitions with the 16s continuing their fine form with an impressive 30-12 win against travelling Blackpool Stanley. The 14s made it back to back wins with a nip and tuck affair with Hindley, with a score line of 28-26. Our 15s were on their away day travels to Heysham Atoms, although suffering a 48-10 defeat, the team continues to show progress and lots of positives were taken from the result.

The mini section boasted some impressive performances, with the under 7s travelling to a strong Shevington Sharks team, narrowly losing. Both 8s teams travelled to St. Helens this week, with the Crusaders showing a dogged defensive effort to secure a win against Portico and the Lions being entertained by Thatto Heath Swords, showing continued improvement in their narrow defeat. It was a full house of wins for our 9s section with the Crusaders continuing their winning streak at Rochdale Cobra’s and the Lions securing their first ever win against their bogie side, Culcheth Eagles. It was a tough day for the 10s, with a master class of the cross field kick from Rochdale Mayfield ensuring a win against our impressive 10s team. There was no score provided for the 11s.
