Pre-Season Training - New Players Welcome from Beginner to Expert

5 months ago By Richard Bunton

All Welcome at Cray

Footscray RUFC - Everyone is Welcome !

Whilst experienced players are always welcome at Footscray, I thought we should also note our warm welcome to other potential players.

Pre-season training has begun for the new season starting in September so now is a good time to re-iterate Footscrays warm welcome to new potential players. We value every player no matter whether they are complete beginners, good players looking to improve, or just getting back into the game. Please come down and see for yourself !
No need to book in or call (but you can if you like), just turn up to the club at 7.15pm on Tuesday or Thursday and you will see people warming up. Just come over say hi and that you are new and the players will help you out. Its is also free of charge until September, then you can decide to join or not.

If you are new to rugby that is ok, we have trained up many people from scratch. The great thing about rugby is that there is a position and a team for everybody. There is plenty of competition for the fitter guys and many challenges to push already fit atheletes.
We have excellent facilities, a proffessional coach and a very strong social element. We have an exciting future with a new 4G pitch coming on stream later this year giving us one of the best grounds in Kent.

My Footscray story is that I turned up to training looking for a different club and have stayed for almost 25 years and ended up as the Chairman. Come and see what we have to offer for all players.
