At the London Irish St Patrick's Day Festival on Sunday 25th March our Under 10's were recipients of the Fair Play Award.

This entitled them to be guard of honour for the London Irish versus Leicester Tigers Premiership match at the Madejski Stadium in the afternoon.

Report from Dave Chaplin

Fordingbridge U10s tournament varied in performance. They were first up, against a strong Oxford side, and the long journey had taken its toll along with playing out of county rules. Needless to say we failed to stop them running in a number of tries. Second game was against Sunbury and this seemed to be turning point on their performance, strong tackling, good rucking and we won most scrums, unfortunately losing out to a few well worked tries. Bracknell A was our next opposition and once again the 11 strong squad gave it their all, Bracknell being the stronger side were victors. Our final match was that against Bournemouth where we once again defended with vigor and came close to scoring a few against the run of play.

All in all we gave very few penalties away during the tournament and kept the ball alive. Morale was high and team spirit strong and for their reward they got the Fair Play award.

I am proud to coach such a great squad whose enthusiasm for the game results in some great performances. I am sure success will come in future. Keep with it U10s!!!!
