A fifteen minute delay for kick off, due to majority of APM players held up in traffic on the A20, really wasn't an issue as a bright sunshine shone for a fantastic summers afternoon at the Arena. The home side were without key players, but were able to call upon the depth of their squad.

The match got underway, FHP benefitting from more possession of the ball. The real first opportunity of the game came after FHP forward had a great chance to score from 20 yards but failed to hit the target.

The away side only created a few half chances, but were thwarted by the defensive units of FHP. A lot of possession for both sides, proved to be quite tactical at times, again FHP shading the possession stats.

The second half started brightly for Forest Hill. The hosts should have been ahead when Dobson was put through on goal, but some how didn't take the chance. APM showed signs of good build up play, but found it extremely difficult to breakdown the home sides defence. In reverse, APM defended well also, restricting the hosts to a handful of opportunities. Mid way through the half, Sangare had a chance, as he rounded the keeper, only to shoot wide from a tight angle.

The remainder of the game showed two sides trying hard to score & win the game as they showed their intent to play good attacking football.

The game ended without any goals but played in a fantastic spirit from both sets of new boys . The officials also done well, but didn't have any real contentious issues to deal with, as both teams were intent on playing good football.

Enjoyable to see another side trying to play.
