Goals from Dobson & Fotso secure the important win....

Forest Hill welcomed Fc Elmstead to Ladywell arena on the back of three wins on the trot.... Looking to make it a fourth. FC Elmstead also had two positive results recently, with 5-0 & 1-0 wins against two sides in the top half of the table.

On to the action..... After a lively opening fifteen minutes, which saw FHP dominating possession and controlling the game, the visitors found it difficult to contain the hosts. Forest Hill took the lead through Jamar Dobson.
The forward drove the ball home from the centre of the penalty area after being picked out by Thierry with an excellent cross, after some sublime build up play, FHP deservedly took the lead.

Elmstead were somewhat deflated from going behind, but still showed spirit and desire in their efforts to get back into the game.
Forest Hills dominance produced more goal scoring opportunities, they really should have scored at least two gilt edged chances, but somehow failed to capitalise.

Elmstead were thankful for not falling behind further in the remainder of the first half.

H.T -1-0

The second period began in the same fashion with FHP controlling proceedings. Elmstead made substitutions at half time, as they attempted tactically get back into the match. To their credit, the work rate was to be commended, but they didn't really trouble FHP. The hosts had two fantastic chances to increase their lead but failed to execute.

Eventually the second goal came, after a storming run from Thierry mid way through the half, saw him double his sides lead with a deft finish, as he lobbed the oncoming Dan Teely.

2-0

Forest Hill were now cruising, but Elmstead kept plugging away, and never gave up. Forest Hill should have increased their goal tally overall, but in the last moments of the game Elmstead were gifted a consolation goal that made the score line slightly more respectable for the visitors....though it has to be said, Forest Hill should have been more clinical in front of goal, and kept a clean sheet.

Nether less the game was played in a good competitive spirit ... Great advert for the kent Invicta league!

FT - 2-1
