Another positive performance, with two wonder goals ...from Jem and Prince ....

Following last weeks demolishing of Bexlians, it was another south london league fixture away at mid table Belvedere. The hosts have produced some good results in the league of late, so the possibility of a good contest was in store.

On a difficult, hard surface, FHP started the match extremely brightly and almost immediately after the kick off, the first attack forced the Belvedere keeper to pull off an instinctive save from a Venance driven shot, after some swift, sharp link up play.

The match settled with the hosts themselves, whilst in possession, moving the ball around at the back, but were quickly dispossessed by the away side, on one occasion, it led to Jem beating the defender outside of the box to unleash an exquisite strike on goal, beating the keeper ...

0-1

FHP were now in control of the game, and started to dominate possession, goal chances came and went for the remainder of the half, unfortunately those opportunities were not taken. The hosts tried to compete and battle, but were mainly outplayed by Forest Hill.

HT - 0-1

Not long after the start of the second half, with FHP still in control, of the game, Prince broke deep from midfield to unleash an excellent 35 yard strike to double their lead.

0-2

Forest Hill really should have gone on and increased their score tally, as it was only one team in it. Bizarrely enough Belvedere were offered a lifeline, as the referee awarded the hosts a free kick, claiming the FHP keeper handled outside of the box. A good low strike into the corner beat the keeper...

1-2

For the remainder of the match FHP still created further opportunities to score, but with a combination of squandered chances and good defending the score line remained 2-1.
