Moving Pitch
The pitch at Duke Street Park will be moved for the forthcoming season...
After leasing with the Southport & District League and Sefton Council, we can today confirm the pitch at which Formby Dons FC play on at Duke Street Park, Formby is being moved for the forthcoming 2012/13 season.
At the request of Formby Dons Sunday 1st Team Manager, Paul Barrett, the pitch will be moved 6 yards closer to Duke Street, and 20 yards closer to the tennis courts, this will allow the area which was previously the goalmouth's to recover and re-grow after 2 seasons of near constant use.
Formby Dons understand that the housings for the post have been dug up, and will be re-inserted and the pitch re-marked after Anual Formby Fair which takes place in Duke Street Park, around July/August time.
