THURLOW NUNN PREMIER DIVISION
NORWICH UNITED 2 FRAMLINGHAM TOWN 1
With five first team choice players unavailable others were elevated from the reserves therefore the trip to Norwich was a chance to stake a claim for a regular place. Johnson brought a save from the home keeper early on however as Norwich settled Eastlaugh headed over from close range and Jackson failed to take advantage of a slip by Mayhew clipping the ball over the bar with only the keeper to beat. The influential Danny Crow shot narrowly wide from a free kick before Fram almost took the lead as the ball bounced off a home defender and the keeper managed to clear with his feet. Norwich broke the deadlock on 53 minutes, a free kick found Eastlaugh who headed back in to the danger zone for Jackson to head in from close range. Three minutes later the Fram defence failed to clear and the ball fell to Jackson who rifled his shot past Rose. Jackson had a chance to score his third after an excellent run by Barker and the forward shot weakly past the post. Both sides made substitutions and in the last ten minutes Fram found more space and on 85 minutes Matt Aldis converted from a Johnson header into the area. As Fram pushed for an equalizer Milbourne volleyed wide and Willett’s shot went into the keepers arms as the visitors finished strongest.
