Long story short, it’s a great day out at the rugby for the whole club at Bristol Rugby.

It’s that time of year again, we have booked the Bristol Rugby Super Sunday, due to attend their Nottingham match Friday 6th March (kick off 19:45) and the training element at Crossbow on Sunday 8th March, starting at 10am for 2 hours, covers our minis section U6s to U12s, lets show the Combination how well FCRFC are supported, details as follow:

SUPER SUNDAY MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE COACHING CONTENT

The coaching element of the Super Sunday Matchday Experience will be fully staffed by Bristol Rugby. However, Bristol Rugby welcomes the assistance of each age group coach if they would like to attend/assist/watch. The session will run for approximately 120 minutes and will consist of a 4 station rotation with around 30 minutes on each station.

STATION 1: ATTACK

An attack station where players sit, discuss and demo pass technique and how to attract defenders with lines of running, a step, dummy, movement before and after the ball.

STATION 2: DEFENCE

Sit, discuss and demo the tackle. Look at getting how you get in the right position to make the tackle, how far from and where your feet are placed, which shoulder to hit with and in combination with which foot. Where your head is placed and looking, where your eyes are looking, shoulder contact, back position and shape, leg drive and the hook and handle.

STATION 3: SAQ & KPRC

A variety of SAQ drills and skills. Sub divide into sub stations and work them for 10 (5) minutes a station. Standardized Kick Pass Run Challenge from the Premiership Academy Camps, a bit of fun to test the skills.

STATION 4: GAMES

A variety of tag, touch, grab and contact games tailored to suit each age group.

There will also be a free ‘Coaches Ed’ session for up to 20 trainers/helpers (CPD accreditation), as Bristol Rugby Community Foundation are keen to work with FCRFC to help raise the standard of coaching across our Combination. 'Game Sense' will continue to be a coach education option alongside our new 'Continuity in Attack' bolt on.

We are also hopefully for an appearance of the Bristol Rugby Brizzley mascot at Frampton this year…….

There will also be an opportunity for our young players to parade the Ashton Gate pitch at halftime and pre match tunnel (limited to selected 10 players).

The cost of a Super Sunday is the same as last season. £15 for young players doing the training and Matchday, just £10 for adults (45% discount) and £5 for U16 attending just the Matchday, now all seated in the Atyeo stand!

OPEN TO ALL FCRFC CLUB MEMBERS/SUPPORTERS (JUNIORS OR SENIORS).

Anyone who has done a Super Sunday Matchday Experience will vouch for the fact that it is the best rugby day out for our Mini section, so come and support Bristol Rugby First XV and the Bristol Rugby Community Foundation.

U6 to U12s please let you Coach know if interested in attending or age group Coach for the older ages or Tom Harris for all club members/supporters for the Matchday tickets, deadline to put your name down Sunday 1st March, cash or cheque made payable to FCRFC, no money no ticket!
