Thanks to the members who attended the AGM. I am pleased to welcome Barry Whitehead to the management team as Club Captain and congratulate all of the executive committee on re-election. I very much look forward to leading the Club for another year with a team of ‘doers’. We will have a busy agenda.

Our plans for next year are taking shape and will be communicated as soon as possible. I mentioned two areas we are actively pursuing 1) the appointment of a new Head Coach and 2) the appointment of a professional catering firm. I hope to announce outcomes in the next few weeks.

I have appointed a new bar management team of Fergus Allen and Simon Oakley. Fergus replaces Jer Branton who stands down and will manage bar rota and standard operations. Simon will manage other bar operations including goods selection, pricing and promotions.

I have also appointed Tony Bleakman as a second Vice Chairman. Tony will support Chris and myself in pursuing some important strategic initiatives around playing and social facilities.
Over the coming months we will agree our plans and budgets for season 2016/17. I hope you all enjoy the summer and like me look forward to the new season.
