First Half
The match started at an urgent pace and after five minutes the deadlock was broken when following a scrum on the halfway line, Lewis playing at scrum-half got a sharp pass away to Nick who managed to spot a slight gap and make a nice break to open the scoring. The play was then full-on by both sides until North Bristol levelled the scores with a typically well-worked try. This seemed to fire our lads up even more, and then following a good quick turnover and a couple of neat passes, Gabe managed to produce a lovely arcing run to score in the corner. Half time , North 1 Frampton 2
Second half
The second half started at the same lively pace, and once again North Bristol with some slick passing and good running scored an excellent try to level the scores again. From this point our boys really stuck together as a team, lots of committed tackling, mauling, making breaks ,driving, support running ,passing and handling, and decision making from the whole team, and combined with a a lineout - which was working really well with some great throwing (in windy conditions) from Matt, we were playing some great stuff. After yet another turnover and some good offloads Jack ended up with the ball, with still plenty to do he produced a straight and determined run and managed to drive through several players and score to put us 3-2 ahead. Rather than settling for this score our boys wanted more, and after a series of good driving mauls we managed to get the ball to Jamie who showed his power to score again for us.
Final score , North 2 Frampton 4 and a deserved win.
The boys were clearly very happy to beat a quality side like North who always play in the right spirit and ref the game fairly. All the parents and coaches who were lucky enough to see this game were extremely proud, and as said earlier, this was a really terrific effort from the whole squad. Well done boys !!
