The Iceman Speaks!!

Danny & I spent a good few hours discussing this years Strictly & then I nailed him with some football questions:

Me: what convinced you to make the move to Frickley & how hard is it settling into a team mid-season as opposed to starting in pre-season

Iceman: I spoke with Spencer in the Summer but I'd already agreed to sign for Tadcaster. It can be harder, sometimes, to settle in at a club if you haven't started the season with the lads but I know quite a few of the lads already & from what Spencer has said it shouldn't be too hard to settle in.

Me: you've played a lot at this level, what are the keys to success individually & as a team

Iceman: I've played at this level for the last 4 years & it's been a very physical & direct league. All the teams that I've played with have always had a good dressing room with a real togetherness. That's what you need to be successful in any league to be honest.

Me: did you play with Gav at Shaw Lane & what are your thoughts about having him as your team captain.

Iceman: I signed at Shaw Lane when Gav signed & we played together for a while. He's a great lad & a real leader so I can understand why he's the skipper

Me: any truth in the rumour that you've been signed to do Gavs running for him??

Iceman: yeah, I reckon I've been brought in to save his big legs!!

Cheers Frosty, looking forward to seeing you in a blue or green shirt
