With Mark Whitehouse injured new signing Ryan Mallon started on the left wing with the influential Danny Walsh returning in midfield. Jack Watts and Brad Grayson spearheaded the attack with Ollie Ryan suffering a recurrence of his back injury and Ashley Longstaff on the subs bench.
An impressive first half saw the Blues enjoy a slender 1-0 half time lead with a well worked and well executed goal from Grayson. However, it was a different story after the break with Nantwich enjoying most of the play and equlising on the hour.
It came as no surprise when they took the lead on 72 minutes with a bullet header from a free-kick.
